The key strategic actions in 2019

Below we present a summary of the actions undertaken in 2019, which are particularly relevant with regard to the objectives set out in our current development strategy.

Execution of an agreement by and between ENEA S.A. and Energa S.A. on the financing of construction of a modern, low-emission coal-fired unit in Ostrołęka Power Plant C.

Commencement of cooperation to build large-area photovoltaic farms in rural areas (ENEA S.A., ENEA Wytwarzanie and Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa (National Centre for Agriculture Support).

Execution by ENEA Group, Poczta Polska S.A. and Kolejowe Zakłady Łączności Sp. z o.o. of a letter of intent on a joint implementation of electromobility projects.

Commitment of ENEA Operator, PGE Dystrybucja S.A. and PGE Systemy S.A. to cooperate with respect to construction of a uniform broadband communication system for the power sector.

Start of cooperation between ENEA S.A. and Electric Power Research Institute with respect to research projects concerning energy storage and distributed generation.

Commencement of implementation, by ENEA Operator and the AGH University of Science and Technology, of the project named “System of power and energy balancing and monitoring quality of electricity supply of dispersed energy sources and storage facilities (MoBiSys)”.

Letter of intent signed off by ENEA S.A. and Lubelski Węgiel “Bogdanka” with respect to construction of modern photovoltaic farms in the area owned by the mine.

Adoption by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A., ENEA Operator and TAURON Dystrybucja S.A. of a memorandum of agreement on coordination of development of transmission and distribution network, including inter alia a significant power grid expansion in the Lubuskie region.

Completion by ENEA Operator of a thorough reconstruction of a 110 kV line (Morzyczyn – Drawski Młyn), which has significantly improved energy security and connection possibilities in Zachodniopomorskie, Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodships.

Acquisition by MEC Piła of a grant from NFOŚiGW to finance the construction of a new cogeneration heat source based on gas sources and cooperating with solar thermal collectors.

The Połaniec Power Plant ordered modernization by GE Power and Stal-Systems S.A. of electrostatic precipitators in six power units with a view to improving environmental parameters of the entire system.

Official acknowledgement of cooperation between ENEA Wytwarzanie and the township of Jedlińsk in the scope of investment into RES.
